Community Giving

We are in the business of building community, having served families and friendships with a friendly dining experience in Augusta, Maine for almost 35 years. As a locally owned small business, giving back to our community is incredibly important to us.

The requests for benefits and fundraising often exceed our capacity to schedule such events. We employ fair methods in choosing which causes to support, typically resorting to a random draw. The need in our local community exceeds what one small business can do; we hope to incite community giving among other local businesses by sharing your stories.

We have hosted many benefit dinners during which our Chicken and Haddock snacks are provided for a donation of $5.00. We often sell raffle tickets for a 50/50 drawing during these events. At the end of the evening, all the proceeds are donated to that evening’s cause. Our employees donate their tips each month to causes in the community that have been selected for this donation. We have also begun having monthly drawings for a $100.00 gift card to The Red Barn. We began this endeavor primarily because the need exceeded available Monday evenings.
